It is possible to believe in God in general but still remain dissatisfied with him.

This was the situation the people of God found themselves in as they demanded a new king.

However, their request revealed more about the peoples’ inner motivation. Their dissatisfaction with God was caused by:

We can likewise succumb to any or all of these causative factors, growing deep dissatisfaction towards God within us.

The good news is that a cure is available.
