Union School of Theology at Foundation Church Belfast

Study for a Master of Scripture & Theology in Belfast with Foundation Church and Union School of Theology.

Overview

Foundation Church Belfast is partnering with Union School of Theology (UST) to facilitate rigorous theological study at postgraduate level. The Master of Scripture & Theology (MTh) is validated by The Open University in the UK. Combining both academic and spiritual formation, the MTh offers a range of modules covering theological and biblical studies and ministry practice topics, reflecting the kind of balanced diet that many church leaders are looking for.

Teaching from UST faculty is delivered as pre-recorded video lectures, and students are supported by an experienced Learning Community Lead Mentor and receive resources including books, learning materials and academic tools through the Union Cloud platform.

Who is it for?

The MTh is suited to those who already have a theological degree or have sufficient ministry experience to successfully complete the programme. Get in touch with UST to find out more about this.

Many MTh students already serve as pastors, elders, church planters, women’s workers and ministry leaders, or are studying alongside other work or family commitments.

Delivery

In Learning Communities, the MTh is delivered as intensive block weeks. To find out when our MTh Learning Community meets, please contact Lead Mentor David Varney (david@foundationchurchbelfast.com).
