Staying Impactful on Mission
Churches can turn in on themselves becoming inward looking and consumed by what is taking place within the walls.
At the conclusion of his letter to Titus, the Apostle Paul sketches the ways that a church can avoid this. According to him, staying impactful on mission requires:
- translocal ministry support
- a deep experience of grace
As an apostle, Paul is concerned to plant and strengthen healthy churches. He brings in kingdom reinforcements to minister to the churches as they progress in maturity and influence.
However, fundamental to this is the need for a deep experience of God’s grace, a theme that Paul returns to throughout the letter.
God is shaping Foundation Church Belfast to becoming a sending church, raising up those with apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, shepherding and teaching gifts to minister to churches across Belfast and all Ireland.
